The Brass Ring Luncheon:
The Guild annually hosts its major fundraiser, the Brass Ring Luncheon and Fashion Show, one of Denver's most
anticipated charity events. Of the proceeds raised, $40,000 is given each year to assist the Center's programs of health
care and research, and the remainder is applied toward funding other Guild programs.

Staffing for the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes in Denver:
Guild volunteers provide special services on a daily basis to help the clinical staff. They assist the clinical team
with the children, staff the playroom, answer telephones and perform various clerical assignments. Literally thousands
of volunteer hours are devoted to the Barbara Davis Center, enabling more time for the medical staff to focus on health
care for the children.
Education:
The Charlotte Tucker Scholarship Fund annually grants higher education scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each to
46 qualified Barbara Davis Center patients.
Additionally, The Guild provides funding assistance for printing the Center's diabetes instruction manual, Understanding Diabetes, and for preparation of diabetes-related videotapes. The educational literature and award-winning audiovisuals are used worldwide and produced by health care professionals at the Center.
Helping Hand Committee:
This important committee extends behind-the-scenes assistance to help families cope emotionally and financially in times of
exceptional need, including purchasing diabetes supplies and gifts during the holiday season.
Day at the Rockies:
For the past four years, the Children's Diabetes Foundation has provided an
opportunity for 650 Barbara Davis Center patients and their families to attend a Colorado
Rockies baseball game, complete with a tailgate party prior to the game. This event is a much anticipated, action-packed
day, complete with sugar-free treats, face painting, prize drawings, and of course, hotdogs & diet soda.
Halloween Party:
A "sugar-free" festivity, the Halloween Party offers an alternative to children with diabetes. Eagerly attended by hundreds,
this party features a fast-paced variety of game booths, contests, jack-o-lantern carving, apple-bobbing and a colorful
costume parade. Unlimited pizza, mounds of popcorn, gallons of sugar-free soda, and other healthful snacks are the "treats"
for this Halloween celebration.
Ski Trips:
In conjunction with the Winter Park Handicapped Ski Program, The Guild coordinates five ski trips per year, providing over
200 children with equipment, lessons, lift tickets and a pleasurable day in the mountains.
Special Help:
The Guild grants scholarships to children who could not otherwise afford to attend the American Diabetes Association
Children's Diabetes Camp in the summer.
Talented, resourceful, and knowledgeable, The Guild volunteers provide an invaluable resource in the fight to conquer diabetes. The members symbolize the spirit of pulling together, accomplishing great things individually and as a team.
THE GUILD WELCOMES YOU AND THANKS YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
