2007 HIGH HOPES TRIBUTE DINNER

September 29, 2007
Marriott City Center, Denver, Colorado

The 2007 High Hopes Tribute Dinner, sponsored by the Children's Diabetes Foundation at Denver, was privileged to honor Steve Farber, community leader extraordinaire. Steve has played a major role in making Denver one of the most progressive cities in the U.S. This year his efforts were pivotal in bringing the Democratic National Convention to the Mile High City. Steve Farber's transplant journey at age 60 inspired him to create the American Transplant Foundation to help families navigate difficult organ transplant issues and challenges. As a long time member of the Executive Board of the Children's Diabetes Foundation, his guidance and wisdom have been indispensable in the creation of the Barbara Davis Center - the leading center for type 1 (insulin dependent) diabetes in the nation and worldwide. The BDC and CDF currently treat and provide support to over 5,000 children and young adults from around the world.

Performances were donated by David Foster and Friends, featuring Smokey Robinson, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, Katharine McPhee and George Lopez, Master of Ceremonies. There was also a Live and Silent Auction.
